Experiential AI is learning AI by doing AI. Experiential learning is the process of learning by doing. By engaging in hands-on experiences and reflection, people learn how to apply knowledge to real-world situations.
What we Do
AI Skunworks at Northeastern
AI Skunks is an experiential AI playground whose mission is to use technology and AI to teach research, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking and skills.
Mentorship is critical for experiential learning. The primary purpose of AI Skunkworks is to connect more experienced AI nerds with those less experienced and have them work on open-source code, tutorials, or writing articles.
We have collaborated with Boston Children Hospital (BCH) and Harvard Medical School (HMS) for the Skunks to work over the Project
We run Research Groups on some very significant topics within AI such as Causal Inference, Explainable AI, Kaggle, Model Observability etc
R & D
Activities that companies undertake to innovate and introduce new products and services. It is often the first stage in the development process.
Game Development
The art of creating games and describes the design, development and release of a game.
Machine Learning
The use and development of computer systems that are able to learn and adapt without following explicit instructions, by using algorithms and statistical models to analyze and draw inferences from patterns in data.
Process Automation
The act of replacing humans with machines when executing a sequence of activities.
R&D
Research & Development
The traditional goals of AI research include reasoning, knowledge representation, planning, learning, natural language processing, perception, and the ability to move and manipulate objects.
We do an in-depth analysis of all data collected so that there are no anomalies associated with it
Good research follows a systematic approach to capture accurate data. We believe researchers need to practice ethics and a code of conduct while making observations or drawing conclusions

AI Skunkworks at Northeastern University is a group of people who research and develop Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning projects primarily for the sake of innovation and learning. We provide open-mic, mentorship, workshops, seminars, hack-a-thons, and events that assist those exploring the edges of AI.
